Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Temple Christian last Thursday, New Covenant came back down to earth. The Gryphons lost 3-0 to the Brunswick Academy Vikings on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.

Naomi Rigg paced New Covenant's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rigg got some help from Ada Dudley and her 31 assists. Rigg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

New Covenant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brunswick Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, New Covenant will challenge Westover Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brunswick Academy, they will square off against C.H. Friend at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
