While Mt. Carmel's win against Edwards County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Aces won by a run and slipped past the Lions 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aces have posted since March 24th.

The win made it two in a row for Mt. Carmel and bumps their season record up to 20-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Edwards County, they dropped their record down to 19-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Mt. Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edwards County, they will take on Carterville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carterville's pitching crew has only allowed 0.7 runs per game this season, so Edwards County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
