Central Cabarrus has gone a perfect 10-0 against Concord recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Central Cabarrus Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Concord Spiders at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Central Cabarrus is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Robinson, falling 72-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 54-43 to Northwest Cabarrus. While losing is never fun, the Spiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 497th, while the Trojans are ranked 143rd).

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Central Cabarrus, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.

Central Cabarrus was able to grind out a solid win over Concord when the teams last played back in January, winning 47-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Cabarrus since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
