Lincoln Park Academy and Central are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. Lincoln Park Academy will head out to take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. On Monday, Lincoln Park Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Westwood and fell 7-6.

Brock Braswell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Patrick Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Central and Treasure Coast, and Central kept the tradition alive. Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Treasure Coast 2-1.

Central also got a great performance from Rupert Blackwood Jr as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over 5.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Blackwood Jr a new career-low in hits (zero).

At the plate, Nathaniel Morel was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

Central now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Lincoln Park Academy suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Central when the teams last played back in February. Can Lincoln Park Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
