Preview: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Taylor County Bulldogs
Suwannee is 9-1 against Taylor County since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Suwannee Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Taylor County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Suwannee unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bradford.
Meanwhile, Taylor County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 24-23 to North Florida Christian.
Taylor County's defeat came about despite a quality game from LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 14 points. Johnson scored a full 60.9% of Taylor County's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Jackson, who scored 5 points.
Suwannee's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Bradford's loss dropped them down to 3-1.
Everything went Suwannee's way against Taylor County in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Suwannee made off with a 48-26 win. Does Suwannee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taylor County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
