Fall Creek had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bloomer Blackhawks as they made off with a 77-57 win. Given the Crickets' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Blackhawks are ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fall Creek's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Bloomer, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fall Creek will venture away from home to challenge McDonell Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. McDonell Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Fall Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloomer, they will square off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
