Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Takes a Loss

If St. Thomas More was feeling good fresh off their 67-47 takedown of Cornerstone Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Thomas More Sabers were beaten by the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans 85-33 on Tuesday. The Sabers have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

St. Thomas More's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

St. Thomas More won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DeLand-Weldon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas More is facing DeLand-Weldon at the right time seeing as DeLand-Weldon is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
