Soccer Recap: Phoenix Academy Takes a Loss

Phoenix Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-2 to the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals. Phoenix Academy were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Josh Littlejohn and Jalen Adams scored both of Phoenix Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Phoenix Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Phoenix Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Bethany Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Triad Math and Science Academy will take on rival Cornerstone Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
