Basketball Recap: Cheney Comes Up Short

Cheney was the 54-45 winner over Wellington when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cheney Cardinals took a hard 45-30 fall against the Wellington Crusaders on Saturday. The loss was the Cardinals' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cheney fell to 2-1. As for Wellington, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Cheney and Trinity Academy will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will venture away from home to square off against Collegiate on Tuesday.
