Volleyball Recap: Eagle Mountain Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Eagle Mountain had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Dripping Springs Tigers.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (73-70) Eagle Mountain actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 29-27, 25-21.

Avery Williams paced Eagle Mountain's offense, picking up 11 kills. Williams got some help from Molly Aubert and her 21 assists. Finally, Rylinn Roberts kept Eagle Mountain's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Despite the defeat, Dripping Springs had strong showings from Emerson Robbins, who had nine digs and three aces, and Allie Jenkins, who had 12 assists and five digs. Robbins has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played. Livvy Stancik also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Eagle Mountain now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Dripping Springs, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Eagle Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Prosper on the 15th. As for Dripping Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Harlan on the 15th.
