Baseball Recap: Cedar Crest Takes a Loss

Cedar Crest lost against Hempfield back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons lost 8-1 to the Black Knights. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cedar Crest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Custer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Cedar Crest and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Hempfield, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Cedar Crest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Ephrata on the 9th. As for Hempfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-1 win against Penn Manor on the 9th.
