Recap: Wayzata Trojans vs. Rosemount Irish
If the Wayzata Trojans were riding high off their 90-70 takedown of the Lakeville South Cougars on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wayzata fell just short of Rosemount by a score of 88-85. Wayzata was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rosemount apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.
Despite the loss, Wayzata still got an impressive performance from Kate Amelotte, who scored 29 points. The game was Amelotte's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Allie Burns, who scored 16 points.
Wayzata has fallen quite a ways from their 23-5 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Rosemount, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Wayzata is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Rosemount, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
