Crescenta Valley came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Pasadena Bulldogs as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

Crescenta Valley got a great performance from Colin Moore as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Moore has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dashiell Schultz and Ryan Shabazian did most of the damage at the plate: Schultz scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Shabazian went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brock Robeson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Crescenta Valley pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pasadena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crescenta Valley beat Pasadena by a score of 3-1 on Friday.
