Football Game Preview: Groves Rebels vs. Windsor Forest Knights + How To Watch

Groves hasn't had much luck against Windsor Forest recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rebels will square off against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. Groves has given up an average of 48.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Groves was beaten by Calvary Day 48-8. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 79th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor Forest). They strolled past Johnson with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-15. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Knights with their most commanding win of the season.

Groves better keep an eye on Jr Rowland. He was instrumental in Windsor Forest's win, rushing for 40 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 233 yards and one touchdown. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Rowland a new career-high. Dwane Franklin did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 120 receiving yards.

Windsor Forest's run defense was locked in: Johnson could only muster two yards per carry. The Knights' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.6.

Windsor Forest's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Groves, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Groves came up short against Windsor Forest when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 43-38. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
