Wauseon waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southview Cougars 56-23. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Southview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mikayla Dorn posted five points.

Wauseon pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Southview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Wauseon will be playing in front of their home fans against Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southview, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Southview Cougars face off against the Bowling Green Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Southview is facing Bowling Green at the right time seeing as Bowling Green is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
