Football Game Preview: Manzanola Bobcats vs. Bethune Bobcats + How To Watch

Manzanola will challenge Bethune at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Manzanola didn't have too much trouble with Kiowa as they won 32-14. The matchup marked the Bobcats' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethune). They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 69-6 victory over Miami-Yoder.

Manzanola better keep an eye on Ismael Perla. He was instrumental in Bethune's win, rushing for 233 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Perla a new career-high. Angel Millan was another key player, rushing for 125 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Bethune was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 446 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Manzanola's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bethune, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Manzanola has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bethune struggles in that department as they've been averaging 220.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
