Volleyball Recap: High Point Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

High Point Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Caldwell Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

High Point Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (106-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 17-25, 15-10.

Caldwell Academy had a senior duo take command as Stella Streng had 23 digs and two aces and Lilli Telleysh had 22 assists and two aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Streng.

High Point Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Caldwell Academy, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. High Point Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Calvary Day School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Caldwell Academy will challenge rival Wesleyan Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
