Baseball Game Preview: Morse Shipbuilders vs. Gardiner Tigers

The Morse Shipbuilders will head out on the road to take on the Gardiner Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Morse came out on top against Gardiner on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Shipbuilders put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. The Shipbuilders have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Murray, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Harvey, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Gardiner's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Morse, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.
