Recap: Patuxent Panthers vs. Chopticon Braves
The Patuxent Panthers lost against the Chopticon Braves back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Patuxent took a 33-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chopticon. Patuxent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Patuxent lost, one person who can't be blamed is Autumn Kern. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Patuxent's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.5 points per game. As for Chopticon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-6.
Patuxent will be playing at home against Northern at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Chopticon, they will head out on the road to face off against Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
