Basketball Game Preview: Wicomico Indians vs. Crisfield Crabbers

Wicomico is 10-0 against Crisfield since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wicomico has three straight victories, Crisfield has 23 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Wicomico is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Washington: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wicomico blew Washington out of the water with an 85-12 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Indians had established a 60 point advantage.

Se'Lah Foreman had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine steals. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Purnell, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Crisfield played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Decatur, falling 87-10. The Crabbers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-3.

Wicomico pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Crisfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Wicomico against Crisfield in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 63-16 victory. In that game, Wicomico amassed a halftime lead of 34-4, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
