Basketball Recap: Spooner Takes a Loss

Spooner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 79-72 to the Amery Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Rails can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Warriors are ranked 122nd).

Spooner's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Amery, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Spooner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amery, they will square off against Ellsworth on Friday. One thing working in Amery's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games.
