Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chadwick Cardinals a 27-0 shutout on Thursday. The Lions have beaten the Cardinals the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cardinals has come to flipping the script.

Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Chadwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Mansfield will head out to square off against Spokane at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. Chadwick has already played their next match (against Bradleyville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
