Baseball Recap: Brush's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Brush came into Monday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Wickliffe Blue Devils by a score of 7-3 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Arcs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Kyle Farrell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jelani Carr, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Brush picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-8. As for Wickliffe, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brush will welcome Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Arcs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wickliffe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Geauga at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
