Basketball Recap: Bellaire Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Bellaire had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Cinco Ranch Cougars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 70-51. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Prince Jones-Bynum, who went 5-for-12 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Jones-Bynum's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Norman, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 14 points.

Bellaire's victory bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Cinco Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 27-9 record this season.

Bellaire wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-66 win against Summer Creek on the 25th. Cinco Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
