Basketball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Franklin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-59 W against the Eastern Tech Mavericks. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 57-55 win the Mavericks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Foley, who to rack up 19 points and four steals. Foley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of James Jr. Brian, who posted 11 points along with five assists and four steals.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Eastern Tech, their record is now 13-10.

As of now, neither Franklin nor Eastern Tech have any future games scheduled.
