Baseball Recap: Cheyenne Wells Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stratton on Friday, Cheyenne Wells came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 12-6.

Trey Scheler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Cheyenne Wells: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brennan Framel, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Cheyenne Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Stratton, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.
