Volleyball Recap: Avery Kohler Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Mount Paran Christian faced off against Hillgrove on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Mount Paran Christian was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Mount Paran Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Kohler out in front who had six digs and five aces. The dominant performance also gave Kohler a new career-high in assists (34). Kelsie Moran was another key player, getting 15 digs and two aces.

Mount Paran Christian's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Hillgrove, they dropped their record down to 13-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Mount Paran Christian has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against King's Ridge Christian on the 23rd. As for Hillgrove, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th.
