Soccer Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Takes a Loss

Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Southwestern Piasa Birds, falling 5-1. Metro-East Lutheran were not able to make up for their loss to Southwestern from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Metro-East Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Southwestern, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12-1.

Looking ahead, Metro-East Lutheran will challenge Marquette Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marquette Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Metro-East Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southwestern, they will square off against Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
