Volleyball Recap: Utica Eisenhower Extends Winning Streak to Four

Utica Eisenhower came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Stoney Creek Cougars. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Leading Utica Eisenhower to victory were Kayla Ostrander and Ella Petruzzelo. Ostrander had 19 digs and two assists, while Petruzzelo had eight digs. That's the most digs Ostrander has posted since back in November of 2024.

Stoney Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ava Youhanna, who had four digs and two aces. Lauren Sheldon also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Utica Eisenhower's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Stoney Creek, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Utica Eisenhower will take on Utica Ford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stoney Creek, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grand Blanc at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
