Basketball Recap: Katz Yeshiva Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Katz Yeshiva unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 69-68 to the David Posnack Jewish Day Rams. Surprisingly, this marked the Storm's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

When it comes to explaining why Katz Yeshiva lost, don't look at Ilan Attias. Despite the final result, he shot 53% from the field to rack up 28 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nir Ovaknin, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

The victory got David Posnack Jewish Day back to even at 1-1.

Katz Yeshiva has already played their next contest, a 67-62 win against St. John Paul II Academy on the 20th. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-35 defeat against Hollywood Hills on the 20th.
