Baseball Recap: Caseville Eagles vs. Kingston Cardinals

Caseville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 17-2 to the Kingston Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Monday.

Logan Feltner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Reece Martin also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

As for Kingston, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7-1. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Kingston's side, they got a massive performance out of Brody Pohlod, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The Cardinals are 5-1 when Pohlod posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-6-1 otherwise. Logan Wilcox was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Caseville will face off against Memphis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kingston, they will take on Peck at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
