Soccer Game Preview: North Bay Haven Academy vs. Booker T. Washington

The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Booker T. Washington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Bay Haven Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

If Booker T. Washington heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when North Bay Haven Academy took over last week. North Bay Haven Academy walked away with a 3-1 win over Choctawhatchee on Wednesday.

North Bay Haven Academy hit Choctawhatchee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauren Holmes, Averie Brannon, and Everett Dent.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington kept a clean sheet against Rocky Bayou Christian on Thursday. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Knights are ranked 138th).

North Bay Haven Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Booker T. Washington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7-2.

North Bay Haven Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Booker T. Washington when the teams last played back in January of 2020, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Bay Haven Academy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
