Baseball Recap: Blue River Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Blue River Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 11-2 to the Cowan Blackhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Blue River Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KYE GOLLIHER, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Blue River Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Cowan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue River Valley will venture away from home to face off against Wes-Del at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cowan, they will head out to take on Wapahani at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
