Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mt. Pleasant, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 50-44 victory over the Bay City Western Warriors on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Oilers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got Mt. Pleasant back to even at 3-3. As for Bay City Western, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6.

Mt. Pleasant will be home for the holidays to greet Shepherd at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bay City Western, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Branch at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
