Volleyball Game Preview: Fenton Bison vs. Fremd Vikings

After both having extra time off, the Fenton Bison and the Fremd Vikings will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Fremd took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fenton, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Fenton sidestepped Elgin for a 2-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Maroons: they've now won three in a row.

Fenton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 28-26, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Fremd didn't have quite enough to beat Palatine last Tuesday and fell 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-18 in the first set.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Fenton's win bumped their record up to 15-18. As for Fremd, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season.
