Softball Recap: Spring Grove Takes a Loss

Spring Grove's last matchup with Red Lion could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Rockets lost 9-3 to the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Jozalynn Hartman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Spring Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Red Lion, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Spring Grove and Red Lion will both be playing Dover the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
