On Monday, DeLand ended up a good deal behind DME Academy Blue and lost 52-38.
DeLand lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bart Campbell, who scored six points along with ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielito Rodriguez, who scored six points.
Even though they lost, DeLand smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
DeLand's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for DME Academy Blue, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
DeLand will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Seabreeze at 7:30 p.m. DME Academy Blue won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Deltona is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
