Gradyn Swenson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] got the win against Hinckley-Finlayson on Friday by a conclusive 12-5. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]'s win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for East Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
