East Greenwich extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 7-7 in the process. Everything went their way against the Rogers Vikings as they made off with a 19-9 win. The Avengers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

For Rogers' part, Ben Borgueta and Cole Marley did some serious damage despite the final result: Borgueta went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Marley went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Borgueta is becoming a predictor of the Vikings' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-8 when he doesn't). Cole Milburn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
