Chavez Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Voyageur Academy Cougar. The Aztec Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougar recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Voyageur Academy found their leader in freshman Danielle Ford, who shot 65% from the field en route to 28 points in addition to six steals and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Griffin, who posted nine points.

Chavez Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Voyageur Academy, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Chavez Academy nor Voyageur Academy have any future games scheduled.
