            Softball Recap: Kiefer Trojans vs. Coweta Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            While Kiefer's  victory against Coweta wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Tigers  4-3 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by  just one  run.
 Sienna Renz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Kiefer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Triniti Roskydoll, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
The  win made it two in a row for Kiefer and  bumps their season record up to 13-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Coweta, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 6-7.
 Looking ahead, Kiefer will challenge Okmulgee at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.15  runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Coweta, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Shawnee  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
