Softball Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short

Woodside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Capuchino, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hannah Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Woodside's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Capuchino, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Woodside nor Capuchino have any future games scheduled.
