Mott hadn't done well against Port Huron recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Marauders blew past the Red Hawks 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Marauders, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Mott pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Port Huron, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mott will challenge Lamphere at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Marauders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Port Huron, they will venture away from home to challenge Port Huron Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
