Baseball Recap: Baldwin Park Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Baldwin Park barely beat Garey the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Vikings on Tuesday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Julian Huerta made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Huerta was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Isaiah Felix was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Thomas Beltran was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Baldwin Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garey only posted a batting average of .364.

Baldwin Park is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Garey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
