Volleyball Recap: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Newton County Cougars

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Albany had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Newton County Cougars 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since August 26th.

New Albany wouldn't go down easily and took Newton County into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 15-5.

Allie Keller paced New Albany's offense, picking up 21 kills. Keller got some help from Sara Barton Ozbirn and her 23 assists. Teelie Tyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
