Basketball Recap: New Roads Takes a Loss

New Roads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hawthorne Math & Science Academy The Aviators , falling 58-26. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 54-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

New Roads' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

As of now, neither New Roads nor Hawthorne Math & Science Academy have any future games scheduled.
