Baseball Game Preview: Norwich Purple Tornado vs. Windsor Central Black Knights

For the second straight game, Norwich will face off against Windsor Central. The Purple Tornado will venture away from home to challenge the Black Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Norwich comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Norwich came up short against Windsor Central on Monday, falling 7-1.

Collin Reid was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

On the hitting side, Norwich saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Coombs, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Coombs has brought in this season.

Norwich's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Windsor Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.
