South Gallia waltzed into their match on Saturday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eastern Eagles 68-29. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Eagles are ranked 642nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Gallia pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.5 points over those games. As for Eastern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Coming up, South Gallia will square off against Western at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for the Eagles, they are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
