It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Reno had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They strolled past the Douglas Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 68-53. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Reno got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Boyd out in front who shot 5-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Boyd also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eric Platz, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 16 points and five assists.

Reno was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Douglas' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Tolbert, who went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points and seven boards. Caden Thacker was another key player, going 7-for-13 on his way to 17 points.

Reno's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Douglas, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

Reno didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-41 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 13th. Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
