Baseball Recap: Southern Boone Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Southern Boone put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Eldon Mustangs by a score of 10-6. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Southern Boone pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Eldon, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Southern Boone has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Macon on the 26th. As for Eldon, they will take on Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
